Paragon doubles envelope capabilities
Paragon Group UK Ltd, the leading print and print management specialist, has reinforced its commitment to its envelope division by doubling its current capacity.
Paragon has invested in three new envelope presses that will position Paragon Envleopes as one of the leading providers of envelope supplies and overprinting in the UK, with the highest performance machinery available in the market.
Paragon felt that the division would benefit most from a Jet Plus XL and two Super Jet Plus XL presses, which will complement the current manufacturing capabilities reducing run times and increasing production output whilst maintaining the quality of the product.
Paragon’s Envelope Division Manager, Nigel Howarth said: “Paragon’s Envelope Division is one of the largest suppliers and overprinters of envelopes in the UK. It has always been important that we have the most up to date equipment to meet the needs of our extensive client base and the purchase of these machines proves our commitment to that philosophy.”
He adds: “This new machinery will allow us to bring both time and cost efficiencies to our clients with no compromise on the quality of the product that our clients have come to know and expect. We are now in a position to meet the market’s demands and develop our already extensive envelope offering.”
The Jet Plus XL press will encourage greater efficiencies with longer production runs and reduced ready-make times, as adjustments can be made whilst the machine is still running. Working at an average of 50,000 envelopes an hour and accommodating varied shapes and sizes this press will ensure cost and time efficiencies for both Paragon and its clients.
The Super Jet Plus XL presses benefit from reduced set up times as the machine allows the operator to bring reverse traps into register quickly whilst printing. The machine also allows the operator to shift stock to the image position on the plate. These additional benefits will ultimately enhance Paragon’s overall envelope offering.
Paragon was the first UK envelope overprinter to purchase the Halm EM5000. The press brings benefits including its ability to print four over one. The machinery also has a microprocessor motor control, which eliminates electromechanical problems whilst enhancing versatility and reliability.
