Paragon expands its e-commerce platform with new functionality

Since its implementation in 2002, Paragon’s E-commerce Platform (PEP) has expanded throughout Europe and is now be utilised by customers both as a business application and as an ordering service. Paragon recently added an electronic document management system (EDMS*) and have launched the Paragon project management system (PPMS), further enhancing PEP and the range of Print Management services on offer.

Designed and developed by Paragon, PEP is a pan European Internet Print management Service for clients of the Grenadier and Paragon groups. The platform allows customers to order on-line from a personalised catalogue and guarantees improved levels of efficiency and control for customers over 45,000 global client sites.

The PEP software has recently been enhanced with the addition of the Paragon project management system (PPMS). PPMS provides project management and print management tools for complex demands, such as direct mail, marketing and creative products. Together with Paragon’s catalogue based ordering system on PEP, PPMS enables Paragon to handle all requirements of demanding Print Management customers and contracts. For one-off and complex print projects, PPMS improves service delivery with better collaboration between suppliers, faster response times and fewer errors, and offers self-service ordering and job tracking.

PEP, combined with the EDMS and PPMS software, will be utilised by Paragon’s new Leeds-based division, recently formed to focus on the full range of print management solutions particularly the Direct Mail and Marketing sectors. A number of important new Print Management contracts have recently been won; our e-commerce expertise playing in major factor in securing these contracts.
