PARAGON GROUP UK SECURES INDUSTRY LEADING ACCREDITATIONS

Paragon Group UK Ltd, the leading print service and document management supplier, has achieved ISO14001 environmental and OHSAS 18001 health and safety accreditations, reaffirming Paragon’s commitment to continuous improvement. ISO14001, the International Standard of Environmental Quality Management Systems, encourages better management of environmental risks and provides companies with a greater knowledge of legal and regulatory compliances. Attaining this accreditation demonstrates Paragon’s commitment to reducing the impact of its operations on the environment.

In turn, the OHSAS 18001 certification provides guidelines to safe and healthy working practices, with specific reference to policies that are to be introduced to a company’s management system.

Paragon has placed specific emphasis on the health and safety aspect of the business, introducing an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSAS). Complementing its risk assessment strategy, the new system maintains the highest standards of health and safety throughout the business.

Dave Alexander, Paragon’s Technical Manager said: “Both of these accreditations support Paragon’s commitment to continuous improvement across all areas of the business. We place great significance on our green credentials and will continue to work hard to reduce our environmental impact and the practices employed by our suppliers.

“The accreditations will also reinforce our position to secure future business. As a result of more efficient working practices we have improved down times and energy efficiencies allowing us to pass on cost savings to our customers.”

Further enhancing its accreditation success, Paragon was recently awarded ISO27001:2005, the international standard for Information Security Management Systems, supporting the company’s development of best-in-class technology driven services.

As an organisation, Paragon will continue to demonstrate improved working practices across the group through internal training and development and where appropriate through world class accreditation programmes.

Employing 1,250 people across Europe and with revenues of €200m, the Paragon Group is a European leader in the providing of print services operating from 17 technical and service based sites in 9 countries.
