Paragon improves its potential with a fully automated chemical-free plate system

Paragon Group UK Ltd, the leading print manufacturer and print management specialist, has improved its potential output capabilities with the purchase of a chemistry-free plate system and fully automated plate loader.

The AGFA Assento 11 S, CtP plate system with L300 auto on-line plate loader will allow Paragon to work from digital design to print in one automated, efficient pass, improving time efficiencies and ultimately service to its customers.

UK General Manager, Bob Harkins said: “We are always aware of the need to keep our systems up to date and keep abreast of the marketplace. The purchase of this new machinery will allow us to become more efficient and deliver a better overall service to our clients.”

Paragon has taken the option of purchasing the most productive digital plate setter with uncompromising image quality, allowing the company to take on more advanced and demanding jobs. The plate loader which accompanies the system allows for maximum convenience and automation of the total print process.

The use of the CtP system has been enforced by Paragon since the early 80's. The company has previously used the Agfa Galileo fully automated System with Lithostar plate. The new system will replace the Galileo, the Azura process-less plate is far more efficient, making the need for chemicals and creation of chemical waste redundant, further enforcing Paragon’s environmental policy.
